PROFILE
Shaylene Lamorie is a vibrant student at John F. Kennedy High School now in her senior year. She hopes to attend the Metropolitan State College of Denver, Regis University or the University of Colorado Denver. Lamorie maintains a 3.4 GPA and has been named to the Honor Roll throughout high school. She received the All State Academic Honorable Mention on several occasions. Lamorie is a member of the National Honor Society and is the captain of both the varsity softball and basketball teams. She works part-time.

COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT
Lamorie has volunteered at the Sam Sandos Christmas Basket program where she delivered food baskets to families in need last Christmas. She also volunteered with Father Woody, where she served food to the homeless. Asked why community involvement is important, Lamorie said: “You have to give back to your community.”
IF I COULD IMPROVE THE WORLD . . .
“I would recycle more,” Lamorie said.
