Dear Editor:
I moved to the Denver area in September 1972 to accept employment with the Colorado Civil Rights Division as a Civil Rights Specialist (investigator). I located in Westminster, Adams County and began reading La Voz way back then — it was owned by Ramon and Wanda Padilla, and I think it was owned by another person before you purchased. La Voz kept the Latino community apprised of what was going on and featured special projects, stories, etc. However, it has done that and much more since you took over the newspaper. Your staff continues to provide a great newspaper, and I especially like that you feature a lot of articles pertaining to education. I think we all agree that education is very important to the success of our children. Expanding your newspaper to include color as part of the paper has made it even more appealing. I am not speaking for any organization nor for anyone else, but I have heard others comment on how they enjoy reading La Voz.
I look forward to seeing you in the community, reading La Voz and wish you continued success. If I can ever be of any assistance, feel free to contact me.
Sinceramente,
Ramon Montoya Education Advocate Westminster
