SPOTLIGHT

Free and low-cost health screenings and education to address today’s most critical health issues will be available from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 14 during the 16th annual 9Health Fair at Regis University’s Loyola Hall on the University’s North Denver (Lowell) campus. Free screenings and educational information that will be offered include but are not limited to vision screening, heart health, body in balance, lung function, skin screen, prostate and testicular screening, PAP smear, bone density screenings, diabetic screenings, breast exams, blood pressure screenings, colon cancer screenings, foot screenings, ask a medical question and get a referral and ask a pharmacist about your medications. The Mile Hi Chapter of The American GI Forum and The Mile Hi Players proudly present: “The Girls of St. Joe’s.” Saint Joseph High School (St. Joe’s) was founded in 1908 and closed in 1987. In tribute of National Poetry Month and to honor late philanthropist, artist, and poet Mauricio Saravia, the Metropolitan State College of Denver Chicana/o Studies Department’s Journey Through Our Heritage Program and Metropolitan State College of Denver President’s Office of Cultural Diversity will be hosting a series of free poetry events in the month of April.
