Bass Pro Shops presents free Family Summer Camp Workshops occuring 1-5 p.m., Tuesdays and Thursdays and Saturdays and Sundays beginning Saturday, June 9. The entire family will enjoy learning the basics of camping, fishing, archery and hunting. Other workshops include bird watching, wildlife exploration, backyard adventures, dogs in the outdoors and the importance of conservation. All workshops are approximately 20 minutes in length and kids will get a free lanyard and then earn a free, collectable pin for every workshop completed (while supplies last). Join Colorado Parks and Wildlife at National Get Outdoors Day between 10 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 9, at City Park in Denver to experience outdoor recreation activities for families. Su Teatro, 721 Santa Fe Drive, hosts visiting national artists Jumpstart Theater Company in their award winning production “I’ll Remember for You”/”Yo Me Acuerdo Por Ti”, as part of its annual visiting artist series. Written and performed by Lisa Suarez, this courageous, deeply personal, humorous and unsentimental look at her personal role as primary caregiver as her mother struggles with dementia and memory loss. Garden Grapes and Hops garden party returns to Denver Botanic Gardens on Friday, June 8. This festive summer evening party features live music along with all-you-can-eat food and drink samples from nearly 20 local restaurants, along with several breweries and wineries. Runners and walkers: online registration is open for Epilepsy Colorado’s annual 5K Run/Walk. Denver City Park’s sanctioned 5K event takes place Sunday, June 10. This is the Epilepsy Foundation of Colorado’s (EFCO’s) largest funding event of the year. More than 2500 children and adults come together each spring to raise awareness of epilepsy—a condition that affects one in 100 people in Colorado.
