The 25th annual AIDS Walk Colorado will be on Saturday, Aug. 11 at Cheesman Park in Denver. Helping to honor the occasion will be Denver Mayor Michael Hancock as well as former Colorado AIDS Project client and recent winner of “Project Runway All Stars,” Mondo Guerra. The opening ceremony will start at 9 a.m. and will include a memorable observance marking the 25th anniversary of AIDS Walk Colorado. This year’s warm up will be lead by the Colorado Mammoth Wild Bunch. The 2nd Annual Rocky Mountain Music Festival will be held from 11 a.m.-9 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 12 at Clement Park Amphitheatre, 7306 W. Bowles Ave. in Littleton. The festival will feature rock, blues and country music, with national legendary headliners: The Charlie Daniels Band and Eric Burdon & the Animals. The Firehouse Church and Mile High Sports present the 2nd Annual 5K Fun Run/Walk to raise money for Denver North High School (NHS) to be held on Saturday, Aug. 11.
