Top 25 colleges producing Latino graduates in STEM

Excelencia in Education unveiled a new analysis, entitled “Finding Your Workforce: The Top 25 Institutions Graduating Latinos in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) by Academic Level (2009-10),” of the top 25 colleges and universities graduating Latinos in science, technology, engineering and math fields in 2009-10 and shares several evidence-based practices to increase Latino student success in these disciplines.

The top institutions awarding certificates or degrees to Latinos in STEM for the 2009 to 2010 school year by academic level are:

Science - Biological/Biomedical Sciences

Associate level: South Texas College (TX)

Bachelor level: University of Puerto Rico- Mayaguez (PR)

Master’s: University of South Florida- Main Campus (FL)

Doctoral: Stanford University (CA)

Science - Physical Sciences

Associate level: EDIC College (PR)

Bachelor level: University of Puerto Rico- Rio Piedras (PR)

Master’s: University of Puerto Rico- Mayaguez (PR)

Science - Science Technologies/Technicians
