Experience a free, quiet and sensory-friendly visit to Denver Botanic Gardens at York St. on Saturday, August 11 from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. The Gardens opens early on select Saturdays for those who wish to connect with plants in a safe, restful location while engaging their senses and providing social enrichment. Visitors can explore the Gardens on their own or participate in hands-on activities in the Sensory Garden that inspire curiosity and awaken the senses. Come out to Sloan’s Lake August 11-12, a Denver Days featured event. The Hazel Miller Band headlines this annual summer tradition with National juried artists, great foods a music audience tent, with kids fun stuff, amazing aerialist and best of all, FREE ADMISSION (dogs welcome). Mariachi Sol De Mi Tierra was formed in 1999 under the direction of Juventino Romero. Today they are a company of eight talented musicians who will be performing a free concert at the Levitt Pavilion Denver, 1380 W. Kids, get excited, it is your chance to shine. The eighth annual Dash at the Splash, Kid’s Triathlon, is taking place this Saturday August 11th. The triathlon, which consists of swimming, biking and running, will be held at the Splash Water Park in Golden. This event is sure to provide a fun fitness activity for children to enjoy and a great experience for them to share with their peers as they enter into a new school year.

Join our annual Moonlight Bike Ride presented by the Greeley Police Department. This is a free, family friendly event. The ride will be 10.25 miles long. Sign in at 8 p.m. ride begins at 8:45 p.m. and we will meet at the Greeley Police Department, 2875 W. 10th St. For more information call 970-351-5387.

The Sangre de Cristo Arts Center and Buell Children’s Museum offer an unforgettable experience for those who visit on the second Sunday of every other month during 2018 offers free basic admission (Sunday August 12th, 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.).
