As if we weren’t divided enough due to politics, the quarterback decision has seemingly divided Broncos fans in Denver. Scrolling through Denver Broncos social media pages along with numerous post discussions clearly show’s the divide, half of fans are on board with Drew Lock under center while the other half are providing their argument as to why Teddy Bridgewater is the likely candidate for the top spot in Denver.

As of Tuesday afternoon (the time of this writing) Coach Vic Fangio of the Denver Broncos, neither has been named the starter despite only one game remaining on the Broncos preseason schedule. If betting on preseason games isn’t your thing, Fanduel Sportsbook has Lock with the slight edge over Bridgewater with -145 odds while Bridgewater with +110 odds. Draftkings Sportsbook has Lock as a much larger favorite with -190 odds over Bridgewater’s +130.

Although the final decision appears to be one that will be made later on in the week, Denver continues to make cuts to reach their 53-man roster with players who are on the cusp-trying make the team. With a saturated receiving corps in Denver and with players like Jerry Juedy, Courland Sutton, KJ Hamler, Tim Patrick and Trinity Benson, receivers like Seth Williams and Kendall Hinton are on the outside looking in.

Denver will have until August 31st to trim down to a 53-man roster and with this weekend’s game against the Rams, Bronco fans will likely see third and fourth team players out on the field trying make their mark to avoid being cut.

It’s no secret that Denver’s strength is the defense and as deep as Denver’s defense is, opposing quarterbacks have likely circled the dates on their calendar’s when they will matchup against them. The offense is poised to be a pretty good one with the final missing piece yet to be named.

The Denver Broncos are a young team with tons of talent and although they are unlikely to make a push deep into the playoffs, they are a team that can at least make it to the postseason depending on the play from under center.

In other sports the Colorado Rockies are 6-4 in their last ten games with a three-game sweep over the San Diego Padres, and two wins in three games against the Arizona Diamondbacks. This week the Rockies kicked off a three-game series with the Chicago Cubs that began on Monday in Chicago. The Cubs defeated the Rockies 6-4 and will host Colorado on Tuesday at 6:05 p.m. and on Wednesday at 12:20 p.m.

The Rockies then head out West to face the Dodgers in a three-game series that kicks off this Friday at Dodgers Stadium. The Rockies are still second to last in the division and are pressing to hit .500 before the season ends.

We are just a little over a month away from the start of the NBA preseason where the Denver Nuggets will host the Minnesota Timberwolves on October 8th. The Nuggets regular season kicks off on October 20th in Phoenix to face the Suns.
