Senior Democratic strategist Valerie Jarrett; Obama for America National Women’s Vote Director Kate Chapek; and National Obama Campaign Co-Chair Eva Longoria launched the campaign’s first Women Vote 2012 Summit in Wheat Ridge on Sunday.
“The choice we face in November is bigger than politics. It’s about our future and the future of our nation,” Longoria said. “You’re here because you are women who also see that same big picture. You understand that this November we have a choice between two fundamentally different visions for our country. President Obama knows that women are the glue of our families and our communities. He’s looking out for us. He shares our values. He hears our stories, and he puts himself in our shoes.”
